Shaking Problem
Shaking Problem
Today I had a flat tire on my front passenger side. I put my on my spare and took my flate tire to a local tire shop to have it plugged..
Once I got there, they told me that I needed a new valve stem and they repaired the tire. They even took off the spare and put on my original wheel for me.
Once I got home, I started doing about 40mph, and my steering wheel and my car was shaking horribly. It has NEVER done this before. I plan on taking the car back to the shop tomorrow, but any ideas what could be wrong so I dont look dumb?
Thanks guys

it sounds like they knocked off the weight that balanced the tire.
check your tires to see if you have weights on all the other rims (it could be on the inside possibly) and then check to see if the one that was just fixed has one on it as well

Running a higher air pressure (especially the maximum) will help you feel every crack in the road. First I would see what they're at, and if they're even, secondly, as suggested, the balancing weight. Try everything people have suggested already before paying for an alignment. . .
Probably didnt balance it correctly. Sometimes, especially when you use the stick on weights, they fall off, if the surface isnt perfectly clean before sticking them on.
Take it back, have them re-balance it. That or check for a loose wheel, that will usually cause a clunk when taking off though.

its most likely not balanced, and if its an alignment issue u would know by the steering wheel being straight but ur car drifting to the side i would check the pressure and weight for balancing
