Went to get my car inspected and it failed as service engine light did not come on. I have owned my 4th generation for 6 years and bulb worked last time car was inspected (10/07)

Ofcouse inspecter siad I must have removed it!

How do I change the bullb, what size is it and what location is it in the dash.

You must remove the speedo/tach cluster and the bulb will be in the rear of the housing assembly. When you remove it you will see, it is just a common replacement bulb found at any parts store.
