Is it possible to replace the front lower control arm bushings while leaving the control arm on the car? Meaning leaving the lower ball joint connected and just undoing the lower control arm from the chassis where the bushings are, replacing the bushing, and then reinstall the bolts to the chassis.

You have to remove the LCA to push the new bushings in. With that said, I would rather replace the LCA, easy & cheap. (140$).

Well, I forgot to mention I've already bought the ES LCA poly bushing kit. And I thought I've read people saying you can just grease up the poly bushings and tap them in with a mallet.

just take it all the way off it's only one more bolt and it's not really that difficult to get off.
