KYB, Moog Monroe strut mounts

i've read in the past that KYB strut mounts are crap. I read a few threads about them more recently and heard that their mounts are updated and are better for our cars. can anyone confirm this or are they still crap.? please respond if you recently put on a set.(within past year)
any comments on MOOG strut mounts??

KYB are not bad. We have sold a lot of them in the past year and haven't had any problems or complaints.

They are listed at
http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/maximasuspension.htm
with all the other available suspension.

just go with stock, its what fits on your car and works the best. they're not that expensive either.

the mounts themselves are about the same price. but KYB and moog come with extra bearings. buying OEM bearings are about an extra 50 bucks. im not sure if my bearings are gone or not..so id like to have them just to be sure.

I already had a thread going on Moog strut mounts you might want to follow too:

http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ut-mounts.html

I don't know about you but the Moog mounts all over ebay that are like 60 or 70 bucks for two of them, I asked the seller and apparently those do NOT come with bearings just FYI.

If you have found some that do come with bearings for a good price, I am definitely interested!

i actually just picked them up from kragen. yeah.comes with 3 nuts, a black bearing and the top mount with rubber.. i was feeling the rubber under the mount and it feels solid. i don't have the stock one off to compare it to though buts its definitely not soft for squishy. they are made in taiwan.

i talked tot he rep and he said they used to carry kyb but a few came back.. he said no Monroes have ever come back and hes the B2B guy for the store that works with the shops in the area...probably just sales talk but ill see if hes right..

one bad things so far is Monroe only offers a 90 day warranty..BUT covers labor (up to 50bucsk per axel)http://www.monroe.com/support/warranty.asp Rep said he will take them back under any circumstances within 90 days.

ill have more info and maybe some pics after the install

Awesome man! Let me know how it stacks up to the OEM. Looks like I will probably pick up a set of these to go with my brand new AGX's.

I just placed an order for all 4 KYB (front and rear mounts) from one of our sponsors. Says they are the best out there. Can't wait to get them so the squeaky noise can be gone!

bad strut mounts dont squeak, they click. spring isolators that are missing or loose will allow the spring to squeak when going over bumpy roads. when i reoplaced my suspension, thats what i found to be causing noise. i should've replaced the old isolaters with new ones cause drivers side (of course ) slipped a little and now is hanging sideways allowing the spring to squeak.

i think both of your are talking about different things..max ride is talking about the rubber that goes around the top and bottom coils of the springs to prevent metal on metal and the noises that go along with it. your talking about the strut mount isolator, that paper wafer thing..they both help
