Bumper light help

I just ordered a pair of bumper lights, and it came in today. I thought installation would take 5 minutes because I have taken mines on and off a hundred times without a problem. I took off my old pair from my bumper and the inner lights screwed in fine, but the problem comes with the outer edge lights as they don't want to stay in place, I noticed they had no pin in the back of them and nothing came in the box, so to remedy the problem I took the ones from the old pair off just to find that they are too small for the new ones I have. I checked a few local hardware stores like Lowes, and Home Depot and both just gave me a blank stare when i showed them the pin i took off, so any suggestions?

When you bought yours did it come with the pin? Did i just get a bad shipment? Thanks for the help guys.

you sure you looked ahrd enough? you could just get a bolt and but it in inside out. Less chances of it being stolen so you would screw it to your body from the inside

That is a good idea, but I don't like the idea of screwing into it as the plastic isn't that deep. I checked all the contents that my bumper lights came with and there was nothing in there except the housings i ordered.

Well the problem with what you suggested vilmaxima is that I only have one of those screws, the reason i bought new housing was because some car kicked up some random moving quilt on the side of the highway onto his car, and he drives a truck and I couldn't see that something was kicked up until his tires slung the quilt right onto my hood. It hit the side of my hood and flung off after a few minutes, i didn't think i had any damage but when i got to his house i noticed a housing missing and the lightbulb just hanging in its place lol. We are still figuring out how it managed to do that.

Just use some short screws to secure them. Thats what I had to do.They will never fall out and someone cannot just walk by and pop them out either.

The thing with that, is I would have to pay for shipping again, which was half of the cost of the lights themselves in the first place so it is not a good idea, because I would end up paying $30 in shipping after all that for $30 housings.
