ebay rack and pinion?

ebay rack and pinion?

what do you guys think of a ebay rack and pinion. i found one for $100 with an $85 core charge. do you think itll get the job done, or ill lose control on the highway and crash and die!

that's one thing i wouldn't trust ebay with

You get what you paid for, and this is NOT the part to cheap-out on!

don't forget to add shipping into that calculation, you still need to pay to ship the rack back.
ask them what machine they use to test the rack before they send it out.

I would look into changing out things like LCA's, tie rods ( inner, outer) bushings before dumping money on ebay's steering rack. Changing it out isn't all that easy in the first place. It's doable for home mechanic, but its PITA.

What makes you think that you need neew rack? is it leaking, making noise or is it bent?
