Few question..

First question:
For some reason, theres a high pitch sound from all my speakers, like when the strereo is on. I was told that it was my alternator, but then I remember, my old Bose headunit never did that. I think its because theres extra watts from the stereo, and it does something with the amps of the Bose speakers. Is there a easy way to leave out the Bose speaker amps? Like keep them there (just incase I re-instal my Bose headunit). I really would hate to re-wire the speakers, that would take way to long.

Second:
When I got into a wreck awhile back, the alignment was way off, I got the alignment fixed, but it still goes to the left a bit, I was told that my control arm or strut could be bent (I dont know which one it could be). It looks like the bottun of the wheel is cruved inward. I cant spend alot on both, so can somebody please tell me witch it could be, like which is the weakest (in your opinion). My wheels or alignment couldnt have gotten damged in the wreck, because I went under the bumper, and the wheels looked fine.

Third:
My headlights are not even close to where they should be, like there both off, one is way up, and the other is almost where it should be (tonight, I'll try to get a picture of what I'm talking about). I think the person who welded the rad. support didnt do it right (instead of the hole rad. support, he cut it in half, so its less work for him). I think the fenders might be a big problem, also I think the front bumper retainer's might play a huge problem with it. I dont know how or where the rubber part of the bumper retainer is supposed to go, like around the headlight, or below the headlight?

Thats it for now.

Thanks.

Did they give you a spec sheet after the alignment? It could just be in how they aligned it. Also, you say it looks like you have positive camber? Have you taken the wheel off and taken a look at all of the suspension components on that side (compare to the other side if you can't see anything obvious)?

Rubber part of the bumper retainer? Those things I pmed you about? They go directly beneath the headlight. Are both headlights securely bolted in to the rad support? Have you tried adjusting them?

They bolt on to the bumper part. Yea those things.

The lights are both securely bolted to the support, yes. It just doesnt look right at all. On the side of the headlight (where the corner light is) theres a couple holes for the side screw to go into the headlight housing (its from the fender part). I'll try to get pictures asap.

Edit: got the pictures.

I'll get pictures of it at night hopefully tonight, maybe tomarrow.

For your first question: The sound is most likely "alternator whine" and it probably goes up and down with your RPMs.

It's probably a messed up ground or they used the wrong wiring harness for your bose.

An easy check is to see if the black wires in the harnesses are grounded to a metal bolt.

I'll try to check that tomarrow. Are you talking about the wires from the alternator? I know what your talking about, I'm not stupid......

Edit: I know this is off topic, but I just found an old piucture of the Maxima, when I just got it, and took it apart. This is what I get for buying a used car, that sounded good, but had (prolly still has) a dirty lil' secret, look at this picture,

Didn't say you were. And no, not the wires to the alternator. I'm referring to the grounds behind your headunit.

And the TB being dirty is common on used cars...

your headlights are way off. are the mounting brackets attached on both sides? just adjusting isn't gonna work in your case.

Heres the annoying sound. I dont think it could be a wire touching ground, but I'll still look;

Heres a picture of the headlights at night;

Quick question, if I had a vac. leak, how would I be able to find it and fix it. Would it be a costly thing to fix?

Smoke machine if you have access to good equipment, or the simple carb cleaner/brake cleaner method. Spray around until the idle changes, then you've found a leak.

Costly, depends on where it is, what you replace, and if you do it yourself.

I dont have access to a smoke machine. I just spray the carb cleaner into the TB while its running? How will that help me find the problem?

I said spray around, I never said spray directly into the throttle body (that would be pointless...).

Sorry, I ment around. I ment around the TB. I'm not going to spray carb cleaner all alround my engine bay. I'm taking it to my moms friend, which is a mechanic, he gives us major deals, like he doesnt even charge us labor.
