DIFFERENCES IN O2 SENSORS

I'm just curious what if I bought an o2 sensor for bank 1 sensor 2 and a mechanic made a mistake by putting it in bank 1 sensor 1.. are both sensor 1 & 2 similar?

both precat O2 sensors are the same its the one after the cat. converter which is different. If you change one precat O2 sensor 99% chances are the other one will soon follow

What year is your car? Cali or Fed?

Best I can tell, the upstreams are all 3 wire, downstream is a 4 wire. How would he have plugged it in? Unless it's a universal, in which case he should've noticed the difference.

But no, if it's a postcat sensor, they don't operate the same as the precat sensors do.

Why wouldn't you just swap it back to how it should be? And you didn't by chance mean B2S1 instead of B1S2, did you?

No, they aren't. Did you even read what I posted above?

IIRC yes, by a few inches. B1S1 and B2S1, that is. I think you keep confusing B2S1 and B1S2.
