changing spark plugs

so i was working on my car today fixing a leaking power steering hose when i decided to take a quick look to see if i needed new plugs and wires... i wasnt even able to see any of the wires. (it was dark, and had crappy flashlight)..

i know this is a new question, but; where are all the plugs located and how hard is it to get to all of them and change them?

you car does not have spark plug wires.
three spark plugs are under the plastic cover that says NISSAN V6 3000...
the other three are at the back, in between the runners on the intake manifold.

It's not a hard job to do, even if you're new to working on cars it will take at most an hour.

so is it fine for me to go to napa or somewhere to get spark plugs or should i go to a nissan dealership? i saw in another post that Bosch plugs have created issues in the past so ill stay away from those and ive been told to use platinum plugs on more than one occasion.

Grab you some NGK Vpower plugs. They should be sold at your Local parts store.

No reason to grab plugs from the dealership unless you like being raped...

Just get yourself some NGK coppers, and you're good to go.

As said above, just get some NGK coppers. There's really no point in buying $12 laser iridium unobtanium plugs.

Yeah all the links above should help you.....pretty easy job. Just take your time when tighten then back.....torque wrench is not a must, but makes the job somewhat safer.

You could get some expensive plug for your car, but again, there's really no point. Regular NGK coppers are cheap and they work well. So they only have a ~30k mile life, big deal.

I really like NGK Irridium IX. If you want longevity, then the NGK laser Platinum has longer service life. Copper plug is fine too if you don't mind changing plugs more often.

The Bosch just don't work well in the VQ.

You're buddy's an idiot. But best to ask that ridiculously overasked 'synthetic or dino' question in the forum below, you'll likely get flamed slightly less.

Thread's derailed as is, and OP's question has been answered, so might as well ask here. If it's interesting enough to deserve it's own thread, we can go ahead and do that (heh, starting to sound like a mod now).

You have it set to not receive PMs, BTW.

Anyway: Return line comes from the FPR, feed goes straight from the filter into the rail.
