problem with the air temperature sensor in a injen intake

i bought my intake off a orger and im trying to put it on on my 1997 max . it seems like my air temperature sensor is different then the one show in the manual . The ensor shown in the manual i got with it looks like the one on this webside here http://www.injen.com/galleries/produ...directions.pdf. My sensor that i took aout of the black tube from the intake assemble does not have the two screws its just a black sensor that is pluged in a rubber seal. Can anyone help me ?

The intake you bought is for 95/96. Either find a way to secure the IAT sensor in the intake plumbing, or just place it right near the filter.

you and everyone else with an Intake. I hate that damn sensor and no one seems to know it is there for our cars other then nissan. So your gonna have to jerry-rig a way to put it near the intake. I somewhat did.

And you can like you Injen if you like, but have you actually ever tested any other intake system, or done a dyno? Or do you just assume it's great because it's louder?

No not because its louder. Short ram is actually louder than Injen, just Injen has a meaner tone. When I had short ram the performance was worse than stock. Injen is better than stock. The air is denser going in with the Injen may not be cold but it's deff denser than short ram.

Wtf? Let me tell you something. Ebay has a better design than the injen only cause it's just like place racing cai which is a true cai. I personally don't like the intake going between the motor and radiator. Might as well be better off with stock. Here's my ebay cai:

Anyways, IBTL!!!
