Does anybody know if the 6-spd tranny used on the VQ35DE is able to fit onto the VQ30DE engine...because right now my tranny is having a problem...to rebuild it, will cost like 1500 dollars...and to buy a 6spd tranny it will cost about the same ammount...So, I'm wondering if anybody has swapped out their tranny for a 6speed tranny...or if they know if it is possible..becuase I understand it is a cable instead of hydrolic...so if it does fit I'm sure I can get the cable to work with my clutch pedal with no problems I'm just wondering if anybody knows if it fits or if anybody on the site has done it. I looked through the search and couldn't find any info either way.

 

I don't know if it will work, (the 3.5 is based on the same block as the 3.0) but where did you get the $1500 price for the new 6 speed? I was getting $1200 prices from junkyards for old 5 speeds.
