Kill Switch Help
Hey everybody after an incident last night, I am ready to install a kill switch in my car. My question for you is, where would be a good place to put it at and where is the fuel pump wire at? I need it to be hid but still accessible

Fastest cheapest way would be to just pull the fuel pump fuse and stash that in your ride somewhere.

I know one guy wired the door lock/unlock button to act as a kill switch. Everything looked stock but if you didn't press the door lock, car wouldn't start. It was hooked up to a starter relay though not the fuel pump. You can always put a switch under the steering column panel, easy to get to and out of site.
You can tap into the start interrupt wire at the body control wire at pin 22 - light green (referring to 98 maxima FSM).
There are a quite a few ways of doing this. GL

as for the fuse, thats a really good idea BUT would suck if the fuse got lost.
What I was thinking was hooking it up to the window lock switch

I always keep a small case of assorted fuses in my ride, so losing one really isnt an issue. Especially when the fuse box has a couple of empty slots to hold extras as well but do as you wish. Just trying to offer a super easy fix for a pretty simple issue.

it would be awesome to get an aftermarket alarm with an auxillary switch and hook up an electric fuel cut off to work on that switch BUT that want help my current situation. See my brother is a glorified drug addict and the police could care less, he took my car and I am now worried that they will be watching me.

Find the green with orange stripe wire, its for the inhibit switch that prevents the car from starting if the clutch has not been depressed or the car is not in P or N in the case of an auto trans. You should be able to find this wire under the dash near the clutch pedal if it a manual trans. Maybe similar location for an auto trans, I'm not sure. Cut this wire and your car will not start. Add a switch between the wires. If switch is on car will start if switch is off, no start.

Is there some sort of problem with just locking your car and keeping your keys with you? Surely you have your own room, does it not have a lock on the door?
If not, buying a locking door handle is far cheaper (and you have less of a chance to screw something up) than trying to rig something up in your car.

And depends on what kind of lock you get, and how you install it on whether or not you can easily get past it. With the proper setup, it's far easier to go through the door than open it.

Exactly. He could get a keyed lock with a metal plate that blocks anything slipping it between the door jamb and the door thus eliminating the use of a knife or cc to open it. It is pointless to offer any other suggestions to him besides the kill switch since he is dead set on it and just wanted an excuse to justify it.
Hence what I said earlier to him about offering a super easy fix for a pretty simple issue.

But yes, pulling the fuel pump fuse is quick and easy. Personally I think rectifying the family situation is the correct way, but

lol at using credit cards to open locked doors. Reminds me of back in high school when my friend tried to open up a teacher's office using his ID card. The ID card broke and left a picture of his face stuck in the door haha.
