Tranny rebuild. Does this look like the right kit??

Was wondering if this was the correct part that I needed....

Taken from this website...

http://www.drivetrain.com/nissanRS5F50Afwd5sp.html

MAXIMA 6 cyl 3.0L 1991-96 Non-slip differential (posi), aluminum case - 70mm O.D. x 42mm I.D. front case differential bearing - 100mm O.D. x 65mm I.D. rear case differential bearing - 2nd synchro ring is multi-piece design, synchro reverse ring DTS-BK182E $275.85 DTS-BK182EWS $481.11

Just wondering if you all have had any experience with this kit? Think its a good deal? Thanks guys! Paul

Do you have an open or limited slip differential? That looks like its for the latter.
I ended up just calling when I bought mine from them because their years were confusing.

If you're not changing synchros, then the DTS-BK182E is the right kit. If you are changing synchros then the DTS-BK182EWS is good for 95 or 96's.

Unless you're having major trouble shifting I would leave the synchros alone.

Yea, the tranny shifts nice and smooth. It's just noisy. So i figured I would just leave the synchros alone. Thanks man. Paul

Also, you can get a better price on that kit from George. www.gttransmission.com (or goole it .. GT Transmission) Good people, cheaper prices and good 'NTN' bearings. Not sure what brand of bearings you would get from driveline ....

Chillin ... did you order from them, or GT Trans? I thought it was you who told me of the other source?

Paul ... see my sig for some 'insight'. lol "my write up"
