water pump

water pump

I think that might water pump is leaking, but i am not sure ? I see coolant between compressor and oil pan . 97 with about 110k miles.. if it is a water pump how hard is to replace it.. ?? has anyone done it.. please let me know

Waterpump for sure....the pump itself is probably good, its the O-rings that die.

I've done two of them, and both times i just changed the whole pump.

With the PITA spot it's in, I'd never swap out just the o-rings.

And OP: Yes, it is the waterpump.

My bet is on a waterpump, actually the water pump seal, but non the less the water pump needs to be changed.

Not a hard job, it is a tight fit. follow instuctions found in the sticky, get a new tensioner while you are in there. I did have to remove the engine mount and move the engine slightly.

Other than have some good gloves or band-aids.
