Why not use four tensions springs? With little tension applied you can adjust the angle left right or up and down. Then when you have the angle you like just tighten it down while holding it in place.

that is a good idea for someone going with smaller shrouds - thought about it but with the shrouds i have there is no room for up/down adjustment (didn't want vibration going down dirt/wash board roads).

Thats what I did using those Shrouds on the Cefiros. Once I had them aimed failry well I installed the shrouds. They have to be trimmed anyways to fit into the housings so I just trimmed to fit after they were aimed.

well, i'm not very happy with my right projector because it looks like it is facing straight forward when i was shooting for more of an inward angle. but i won't take them off and bake them open till spring/summer when i get working on my vc gasket, water pump etc.
i have the projectors held in place with 4 threaded rods and should've thought earlier about a better aiming mechanism - right now i have to pull the lights out of the brackets and adjust all 4 nuts on the back - 2 pieces of thin piping over the outer rods spanning from the projector bracket to the back of the headlight. on the inner (closer to the grille) 2 rods 2 springs from the bracket to the back of headlight housing to keep tension - that way only the outer 2 nuts need to be loosened or tightened to aim the projector left to right. idk if anyone has made something like that before but if not i'm feeling pretty smart about my idea

I've done that before but over time I learned there is a flat surface on the lip of the light, you just have to hold the reflector while you are trying to aim it. You should be close enough to when you put the reflectors back in the housing you can use the stock aimers for fine tuning. Good job though for your first time, looks like you are already a pro.
kudos to guys who do them for others because there's not that much $$$ to make after all the work put in.

thanks, i did it only because i wanted to see if i could...and it looks cool but i'll do only one more in the future on my 05 bonneville and that's it - too much work for my impatient ***.

DONE!!! the only thing i'll have to correct is the pass side projector aim however, that'll be done in the spring or so - when it gets warmer outside. i gotta say i'm very impressed with the light output and the beam pattern.
pics will be up within the next 30 mins - 9 of them and big ones
