Which intake to use for Seafoam?

Hello,
I would like to use Seafoam through the intake so it takes all the gunk out of the engine. I can't figure out which vacuum line to use. Has anyone done this before? Can someone point out the best line to use.

Thanks

As search would've told you, just use the brake booster line. It's the largest and easiest to use.

And I see this turning into another 'seafoam or not' threads...

The hose that makes a 180 to connect to a nipple on top of the UIM and travels back along the firewall to the brake booster.

How? Chern told me that putting it in the intake/gas will just be burned off and you will not have to change your oil.

When applied to the crank case (into the oil) is loosens up gunk and particles so it's now swirling around in your oil so you want to dump that as soon as possible.

Your right, you don't gotta change your oil because technically its just going into the combustion chambers however if your picky like me then I would also change the oil right after doing this procedure because there is always some blowby (meaning gasses leak past the piston rings and into the crankcase) and those gases mix in with the oil which eventually get sucked back into the intake via the PCV and may cause some increased exhaust emissions which may/maynot cause issues for a smog check.

My best suggestion is do it all at once.

You guys use that hose?

The hose that I usually go through is on the driver's side, and its like a big black upside down dog food dish, with hose that is connected to the top. If you need more clarification I can post a picture. But I heard that it is the easiest place to feed Seafoam into.

Do tell, I have no idea what hose you're talking about.

Wait, the brake booster? And you're feeding the seafoam through the stock check valve?

...I really wouldn't do that.

The upside down dogfood dish has to be the brake vacuum booster... LOL

Yeah, I had my beagle look under the hood and she got excited when she saw the brake booster.

That's the only thing I can imagine.

Though it would be sideways, not upside down...

How much seafoam do you feed into the brake booster line?

I do the whole can

Then again, I really just do it for the smoke show, don't really care if it cleans anything up (imagine it can only help, but whatever).

Heh, hydrolocked a VG doing that once...just make sure you do it slowly.

If you're going to do all 3, then just do thirds in gas, oil, and intake.

I put a whole can in my oil and drove for 200 miles and then drained the oil, dropped the pan, and cleaned everything.

I also put it in my intake every 30k or so. Haven't done it in the gas but I think I might at my next oil change.

Guys, you don't have to run the whole can of seafoam thru the intake. It's only supposed to be about a half of a cup. Adding a whole can of seafoam is asking for issues you will possibly hydrolock your engine. Be careful.

Also, I use the brake booster hose at the brake booster side and suck it all in very slowly to prevent engine damage.

Again, be careful and search the forums for this info.
