95' fed spec tps & jwt ecu question
I put a '95 fed-spec jwt ecu into a '96 and when I attempted to set the tps later on in the swap like I usually do using my obdII scanner it wouldn't let the throttle reading drop below 10%, I tried a total of 3 different tps sensors and all of them read around 5-10%, I even ground down the plastic stop on one of the tps sensors, which allowed me to get the tps reading to zero but the car had massive idle & driveability problems, stumbling, bucking etc etc.
As soon as I plugged a different ecu in I was able to set an unmodified tps to read 0.0 on the obd, and no problems.
SO, what I'm wondering is: Is this a problem with the ecu or do I need a '95 fed-spec tps? The '95 fed-spec tps is different in that it only has one plug on it, but I'm wondering if the resistance values are different as well. Anyone use a '95 fedscpec jwt ecu without problems on a different year?
Also, does anyone have a single plug tps from a '95 fed spec (Or some '96 I30's) that I could borrow or buy before I send this ecu back to JWT?
