HELP! half my key is stuck in my ignition!
lawl,
Apparently, I somehow broke my key in half while it was in the ignition.
Half of the key is still in the ignition..
I tried sticking the rest of the key in and seeing if it will turnover but its ****ed.
I cant seem to find a write up on how to take your ignition apart.
help needed thanks.

Wait, one last question, is it a nissan key, or a hardware store made key??? Because the nissan key is made to fit the ignition perfectly, where the hardware store key is made to be a replacemnent, which doesnt fit completely perfect.

You could try to super glue the end you have to the part that is stuck in the ignition, but make sure none of the glue gets beyond the broken edge or the whole key is going to be super glued in there!
Just an idea!

I've had that happen twice. First time paid a locksmith to fish it out. Second time used super glue--just figure what you need, then divide that amount by TEN. It really doesn't take much. Put the smallest dab of glue on the break, stick it in, hold it for a minute or two, then ease it on out. IF you get superglue on the inside of the lock, that's bad news, but if you pull the lock cylinder out and rinse it with acetone (nail polish remover), you may be able to save the cylinder.
Best medicine: Since the last time I replace my key every year on my b-day so it doesn't happen again.

tweezers would've worked alot faster than a bobby pin, just needed a small enough pair to get at it. plus, use a nissan replacement key, you can buy blanks on ebay for like 4-5 bucks and have the dealer re-cut.
