Goodbye Dual Exhaust

when we were at the shop lookin under the car, there is some black box with 2-3 wires goin into it right where the opposing muffler would go for the dual exhaust. i dont want to cut into the spare tire well. what is that lil square black box on my 95 max SE?

I think your looking at the EVAP canister. It's part of the emissions system.

wait, is the EVAP canister the only thing that prevents you from getting dual exhaust? I thought cutting into the spare tire well is a must? The EVAP canister should not be hard to move... I just don't know to where...

Kirk didn't have to cut into his spare tire place, he just went around it...

as for that little canister, shouldn't really be a problem

But isn't Kirk only going through 1 muffler with 2 tips? They you could just go around the tire well and EVAP box.

Yes. I just looked under my '95 max and their's plenty of room. You just gotta space it right. If you make the pipe tuck right under the bottom of the car, yea it's gonna be tight. But their's definatally room otherwise.
