Will 17 X 7, 50 Offset rims fit on 4th gen w/o rubbing?
Will 17 X 7, 50 Offset rims fit on 4th gen w/o rubbing?
Hey all. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with a tire offset this positive.
Rims: IS300 Rims, 17 x 7, 50 Offset
Tires: 215/45/R17 Dunlop Sports (All Season)
These Rims tires are going on a 4th gen w/ stock suspension.
Yes, I have gone through the stickies and here's what I've figured:
Stock wheels: 16 X 6.5, 40 Offset
Vs IS300 wheels: 17 X 7, 50 Offset
Difference = 16 MM (.6 inches) closer to my strut housing, 4MM more away from sitting flush to my fenders.
Does anyone know if these IS300 Wheels are going to clear my strut housing? Also, will this setup rub anywhere on my fenderwalls?
I don't care too much about getting a flushed look. Just looking to save some money by picking up these rims from a buddy of mine.

Oops... 17 X 7 lols
Alright cool thanks for the info. I guess I won't be getting the IS300 Rims then... though it'd be nice... I don't feel like coughing up the extra $$ to have the rim bored out (therefore possibly messing with its structural integrity anyways).
