Installing new crank pulley need help!!!

Alright I just got my unorthodox lightweight stock diameter pulley yesterday and would like to get installed today. I have tried removing it with air tools i have also tried jamming a screwdriver in the pulley to keep it from moving that didnt work either. I have searched for tricks and tips to remove it but i cant find anything. The only thing i found was a starter trick or something like that, but i could not find out exactly what that was and how it is done. So I am wondering if there is any easy way to keep the crank pulley from turning when i try an losen off the crank pulley bolt. I tried looking in the fsm and thats no help to me...and i looked on the how tos and thats really not helping me either.

Please help me!!!

Thanks in advanced
Stephen

I used the screwdriver/pry bar in the holes of the stock pulley. A huge breaker bar and I was golden.

Maybe your bolt is seized? Try some PB Blaster or something like that?

Some have used a cheater bar and rotated it untill it hits the ground and then slightly cranked it over to break it loose.

If the pulley is turning, just put the car in first gear, put the drivers tire on the ground, and she will come off with air tools.

I got it off in the end thanks for all the tips I ended up finishing it with the screwdriver just the way i started. Getting it on was another little bit of excitement but i figured that one out in the end as well haha.

Thanks everyone!

air tools for this task is a joke.... trying that was just a waste of time. i jammed a crow bar in it and got it locked in with the other side jamming against the pavement. and then when i was cranking on it with a breaker bar with a 2 foot pipe off of that....when i thought that i was about to have a hernia... only then... bolt budged.

Easiest way to do it right there. No effort at all.
