Well I went and picked up a 1998 Max 5spd today. Its good engine and tranny are great. Some minor dings and dents/ It also smells like there was a dog living in it. I talked the guy down to $2000 bucks it has 190K engine was replaced at 60k. I will get some pics up soon

Well the guy I got it from didn't really take care of the car and the roof and the hood of the car seem to have faded. Is there any way to revive the clear coat Also i have posted pics on my cardomain page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1693101

Yuck, that sucks when people let their pets ride in their cars. That dog smell can be tough to remove.

Only thing worse is smoking inside a car - or maybe letting your dog smoke while he's riding in your car.

Ok guys got a chance to change the plugs on the car and one of the coils is snapped in two but somehow the car was still running. I bought the NGK plugs(the $2 ones ) all of em were gapped to .040. Is that right. THe box says not to try and regap them but I did any way to .044. Other than that coil that is the only issue I have run into. I drowned one of the window regulators with wd-40 and its working again. I'm still chasing this burning smell I get every now and again. I think its the valve covers leaking.

What are you talking about? I let my dog ride in my car whenever its a good day, and I dont have anything to do. I always put sheets down, but still its the point. It doesnt smell bad afterward either.

And it doesnt look bad at all, except the front end, that needs to be fixed, other than that, its clean. How much did you buy it for (considering you bought it).

I paid 2k for mine. I am gonna get the fender fixed and do some other stuff after my deployment sometime next year
