My take on engine dressing?

step 1.) clean
2.) Intake
3.)00vi or MEVI
4.)Turbocharger or supercharger
5.) Done

When I look in an engine bay and see pepboys oil caps and wireloom, I don't go "holy **** that's awesome! I bet its fast!" When I see a mod of substance however....beware...I might drool on it.

Do you have your hood open enough to even notice any of that? Only time my hoods open is when I'm working on it... and most that crap gets taken off when I'm working on it so why even have it on. I mean its your car, you can do what you want. But uh. have fun spray painting your engine bay. Make sure to post pictures of the failure.

In terms of clean, anything special you guys use? Anything to avoid so that you don't do things like fry the alternator?

DJ420, looks awesome but there has to be something to make those upper radiator support brackets clean up better...

i usually just get a few plastic bags and throw them over the alternator, battery, etc.

If you are running the stock air box, there is no reason to pop the hood.
especially if it held down with Zip Ties.
