Car rocks back and forth in neutral?

Before I go all out and buy 6 new Hanshins Coil Packs for $600 and possibly a Knock Sensor?...I would like to get some advice on this matter....

When the car is warm, and is in neutral (5 speed), the RPMs seem keep traversing between 400~600. While this is happening you can feel the car rock back and forth, it seems like the car tries to die and then brings itself back to life. If I look at all the lights in the car (while this is happening) they seem to be doing the same thing...dimming (400 RPM) and then becoming bright again (600 RPM).

The car never dies though, but lately its just annoying when I have people in the car and they ask what the noise is.

Don't know if this is relavant, but the car HAS stalled (died) before (couple of times) while I try to slow down and make a turn...so before I run into the curb or median, I have to quickly press the clutch and keep trying to turn it back on...First time this happened, I was on a skyway and the car shut off on me on a straight away and the check engine light came on...I had that checked and it was a Cylinder 3 Misfire, I replaced the coilpack at that point...This is the reason I think I need new coilpacks, but I'm not sure if the two go together...

Any advice?...oh and also, if I infact DO need new coilpacks, has anyone tried the ones from Amazon?...or does anybody know of a cheaper price for Hanshins Coilpacks?...

So have you checked the IACV? That's likely what's causing your idle issue, and what you should've checked first.

$600 for 6 coils and a KS? Damn, you're gonna get ripped. Just get a set on here, or eBay.

So, do you have codes now? No?
