So instance if I cut the strip at 12 leds I will need 4 socket connectors. Are yours like this? It doesn't seem like I can plug into one connector to power all 18 leds.
you can. just split the leds in half, plug them in then run the last plus for your power and ground. these are problay the best led's i have ever bought.

Yeah but it looks like each 3 leds have its own connector for power. Is your strip like that?

No. The reason it has a plug is if you cut it. If you don't cut the strip, they will use one single power socket.

It's ONLY if you cut the strip down. You have to cut it in sections of three.

thanks for clearing that up. so if I don't cut it.. then any one of the sockets will power the whole strip then?

yours looks totally different than mine, Mine have Smt leds first of all and also each three leds has its own connector for power totaling 6 for 18 leds . It also looks like your led strip is using regular leds.

I thought you were going sell your Max? Now you're back into modding? The HIDs are working out well. Still haven't had a chance to get anywhere near a wall at night to take cutoff pics.

My stock bracket was all corroded just like yours. What I did was leave the two mounting points at the ends and broke the middle section out and tie wrapped the strip to the two ends. I used the whole stripe and results are like in pics from IlyaK. Thanks again for the help fellas. I wonder if anyone has tried these flexible strips in the gauges.

I wound up having to cut 3 leds off the strip and any socket for power on the strip still powered the strip. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Hi,
The following link Led DRL shows what I did with those LED strip, I tried two different sources from ebay but both times these LEDs blew up after like 3 to 4 weeks. I working on something different now.
I had them hooked to DRL.
