Horrible gas mileage drop

97 max. 5speed currently 107k miles

use to get 275 miles on a full tank of gas NYC driving, until the last 2 times i filled up my car, now im getting 200 miles on a full tank

i do mobil 1 oil changes religiously, already had a full tune up last year, car has zero problems

if i replace the knock sensors would it be back to normal? im open up for suggestions

Have you checked anything? Plugs, air filter, etc?

Have you searched for the ridiculous amount of MPG threads and followed any of the suggestions you've found?

FWIW miles per 'tank' isn't an accurate assessment, especially for us; it could be you driving it until there's absolutely no more fuel in the tank and you can no longer start the engine, or it could be the low light indicator, or the 1/4 tank mark...etc. Also, the fuel gauge isn't that accurate.

Calculate out your MPG the correct way.

Are you getting a KS code? Does it test bad? Is there a reason you suspect the KS?

I'd check for codes first, then search...
