Transmission fluid leak

I've searched for "transmission fluid leak" but I get a long list of threads that have no relevance. So:

My son's Gen IV is pissing tranny fluid on the floor. Apart from that the car is in good shape (just replaced rear end suspension bushes, track rod ends, engine mounts, and so forth)
What's likely to be the cause? Gearbox casing oil seals where the axles emerge? The tranny works fine when it's topped up, but it is losing about half a litre of fluid each day. Even when parked.

If the car is leaking tranny fluid, try to jack the car up and clean the area

up best as possible and then try locating the leak. If you already know where

the leak is coming from can you provide pacific details. It can be a tranny

cooler lines or the seals. We need more info.

RMS has nothing to do with the trans.

Have you not looked for exactly where it's leaking from?

And if you're having issues searching, do you not have the 'sort by' setting set to Relevancy, and not Last Posted?

Thanks for your input. There was so much oil under it that I was loathe to try to get under there ... I'll take it outside and put it on the trolley jack and take a good look. Probably oil everywhere! Get out the Gunk time ...
Pmohr, thanks for the search tip. I'll do that.

Check the clamps on your transmission cooler lines and also inspect the hoses. That should be a good place to start. Had an ATF leak recently and it turned out that one of my clamps somehow became loose. cleaned it up, tightened it, problem solved

If you're having an issue, start your own thread. Two completely different issues, not to mention you appear to be a 5MT.

UPDATE:
I took it into the shop bc I hate anything to do with trannies. Well, autos anyway. Manuals are ok.
It turned out to be the pan (cork) gasket. Damaged somehow. Possibly by the engine slopping back and forth before the mount was changed.
New gasket + oil change and it's good. Total cost including oil and labour, about $60.
