Knock sensor and harness

Hi
Sorry but I didn't find what I am looking for by searching

The first 2 time the CEL came on , was right after swiching the engine at the morning ! after 2 resets , the 3rd time it came after 5 days from the 2nd reset , was after 15 to 20 min 40MPH driving.........
The mechanic took the car for the first 2 days after purchase , he did an engine gasket for oil leak, beside changin spark plugs (I don't know what did he put in there) , rotors etc........Then he gave it to me......2 days later CEL came on for the first time...(During the time I test drive it before purchase, the CEL was off and Speedometer was working..i.e before the mechanic put his hand in there....But I don' know maybe the last owner set the car for CEL OFF before my test drive)....Also I changed the vehicle speed sensor (didn't cure the speedo not working, went for a change of whole cluster , now working fine)..
Also the car has a TUK (with slight jump) noise (from the hood side)when swiching sometimes from PARK to R (especially when cold),Sometimes AT took a small jump from 1stto 2nd (or from 3rd to 4th gears).......I did a flush to it , seems little bit better now !

Now I have P0150
P0352
P0600 codes
1-Depending on the story above , what is the cause of P0600 code ?
2-What brand do you recommend for knock sensor for my Maxima 97 ? buying online ?
3-How can I change its harness ? is it sold seperatly ? photos please

Can you give me please some photos for that ?

Thanks in advance

Just do the resistor mod. You won't have to worry about the harness or KS. Search to get more info on it.

older harnesses get very brittle, so it is possible for them to break easily. when the mechanic was replacing the spark plugs( you have to remove the upper manifold and move the part of the engine harness that the ks and injectors are hooked up to) he could have broke the harness.
in order to move the harness he also had to disconnect the ks ground from the manifold. he might have not cleaned the metal-to-metal contact point for that ground resulting in improper ks operation.

i dont believe you can change the single harness for the ks. you'd have to buy a whole new engine harness. i would clean the ground for the ks first and see what happens.

ks ground:

Incorrect, the knock sensor harness can be replaced.

The important is "how can you change it"?

Why do you have three threads about your codes? You only need one.

Do what? No, the UIM does not need to be removed to do the rear plugs. Where did you get that information from?

.
No, no harnesses have to be moved. The ground point on the LIM certainly doesn't have to be removed.

Again, incorrect. There's a KS subharness.

I have changed spark plugs on the Maxima and you do not need to take off the manifold to do that. It is very easy job.
About the knock sensor you should check your resistance with ohmmeter. It should be between 520 and 600. mine is 555. you can also check the harness and clean the ground.

What will I do if the harness is bad ? how will it look ? how to change it ?

Just replace the harness when you do the KS, so you don't have to go back in there again.

You can get the OEM KS off of eBay for ~$60 shipped.

If the harness is bad you change it. It will not make connection if it is bad, but you can not be sure that it will visible. Changing the harness is easy, the KS is a biatch. Like pmohr said if you replace the KS you might as well change the harness too.

Those are the two ends of the harness if that will help you with changing it. They are circled in red.
