My 99 auto max is having an issues and I believe it may be the C/V but I want to make sure before buying a new one from Raxles. Sometimes under hard acceleration the front drivers side makes a loud pop or bang along with a hard jerk in acceleration. Doesnt matter if I am turning or going strait.. and it doesnt happen everytime. Is there anything this could be other than the C/V?

 

It's most likely the axle, yes.

Heck no I havent checked it out yet After fooling with the water pump replacment I am paying to have a new axle put in.. and I hate paying for such things

I just dont want the headache right now. I'll let the dealer put in the axle.. $75 an hour for labor isnt too bad for one axle. This is what I get for using the cheapest replacement axles on the market.
