Blower motor stuck open?

well i got in an accident last december. i noticed a week after that my a/c is always blowing when the *** is in the off position (and it blows when on of course). i can change it from cold to hot and it blows accordingly. what could this be? a friend of mine told me it was my blower motor stuck open, he said it happened in his 240sx but his just randomly fixed itself one day. also ive noticed that there is a constant flow to the passenger side front floor coming from behind the glove compartment and it always blows cold no matter what. its pretty annoying. how could i go about fixing this? or what could it be? thanks

If you're always getting airflow to the passenger side floor, have you looked to see if the blower motor case is fully sealed?

The system will 'idle', for lack of a better word; there'll always be a minute amount of airflow, especially if it's not set to recirc.

The blower motor can't be stuck 'open', it's either on or it's off. Maybe you're referring to one of the blend or recirc doors?

its a bit hard to explain. its always blowing, wether its set on recirc or not. it constantly blows its not super strong but it blows. its eough to notice that its blowing. if i set it on hot it blows hot air when off

Mine's the same way, and IIRC every other 4th gen I've touched does the same. I just wrote it off as 'normal behavior'
