Hi,

2 years ago I came here to get rid of my egr CEL. I got some advices, like clean the tube and change the EGR Vacuum Controller and the EGR valvle.

- I cleaned the tube, ( It was clean like a brand new any way), wasnt the trouble.
- Wash and clean egr vaccum controler with wd40

-Wash and clean egr valve with wd40.


I did this 1.5 year ago, and it never come back! Easy way to find the problem, try this first.


Second subject. Bucking and cutting at 4000rpm. (like a kid's driving manual for the first time)

I came on the board to find the cause. Apparently the coils back are bad....
Tested my coils, they were fine.
I was 1/4 tank and I made maybe 50 km and it was at the red light. Something was wrong...
I found it when I gas my car. The gas was bad and/or there was water in it!

Third problem on my car. EVAP code.
-Just clean and test the solenoid valve on the canister ( black box on the left rear side)

So easy steps before spend $$$ and time on new parts.

 

Thanks for the info. I recently noticed that rpm drop that I had when my coil went bad. Just waiting for it to get worse. Hope it's not an injector or something worse.
