370nm is approximately 273 lb-ft. Too bad that the DE-T is hooked up longitudinally in it's natural home.

But would it be cheeper or better you think to bolt on a turbo to a VQ30DE rather than go and place the VQ30DET in the max??
eventhough its a hastle to convert FR to FF

The VQ30DET is found in the Cima I think...it's one of those barge-sized sedans (think Crown Victoria). It's rwd. I've never been able to find any pics of the DE-T, so I'm curious to see what it looks like, along with what turbo is used and such.

Im thinking it would have to come with atleast a T03 sized turbo, i've seen one for sale here in Australia at a place it was AU$4000 roughly US$2000, but back then i wasnt keen on the conversion now i want to find the damn place that have them!!!!!

Yeah, I think the Cima is basically a Q45. I don't think they offer the V8 there, so they use the turbo'd VQ. I fyou can find the turbo manifold, it would be an interesting project. You should be able to bolt it right up, but there is still the problem with the rest of the piping.

But, the VQ30DET I would think would be built stronger

to handle boost safely. Which means maybe even more boost after being tweaked. hhhmmmm..... Now where to find one...

I was thinking that it would hve to have some stronger internals to. I wonder what sort of compression it has???
I'll try and find out more about it and i'll post it.

DET isn't going to fit. IIRC, JWT tried it 2 years ago or so, they had to shave part of the block for it to fit. Since it is RWD setup as well, the manifolds won't fit either...

Might want to try grabbing the DET pistons though.
