I just put another on top. Make sure its super clean and grease free before the first coat. Then put a light coat down everywhere. Then keep adding on top of that

Yeah, everything is holding up well. The custom mats were a must to go with the flow of the interior. It looks great in person

Im sure they do.. I might have looked into some custom matts had I known about that place before. I went ahead and painted my Gray OEM ones to black with Vinyl/fabric spray and they came out better than I expected , that stuff is great.

I've been changing the color of my interior the same way a little at a time this week.

Not using the Duplicolor, I'm using SEM brand stuff. I have the tan interior and the color I'm changing it to is called Pescadero Sand. Its a lighter, less orang-y color.

I have the dash, carpet, seats, and headliner left.

Question Kevlo... Can the dash be removed without unscrewing the safety-torx head screws under the passenger side airbag? Or maybe I should just read up in the FSM.

Wow, Kev- that looks great. The 2-tone looks way better in actuality than it sounds when you described it.

Also, that floor deadening job was top-notch. I never had the ***** to remove my dash.

Have to remove it. They sell them at autozone.

Dash is only held in by like 6(plus pass air bag) bolts lol. It wasn't too bad, the air bag makes it real heavy on one side though.

Looks good man, definately pulls the two tone theme together. Although I think tan headrests might have flowed a bit better, it would have allowed the entire center section to be one color.
Did you apply the covers yourself? Just curious, they look a bit loose to me.
Also, were you able to just swap seat pans on your setup?

Yea tan would have been better. Maybe I will change that later on. I need to let the leather sit in the sun to get some of the wrinkles out. And I still need to tie the bottom/back of the seats since they had to go over some of the bars. The pic was just to test fit and see how it all looks.

I used the maxima seat pan for both sides. I had to remove the hog pins and on the drivers side I atatched the leather and 350z cushion to the max seat pan. On the passenger side, I bought 2 three inch bolts to bolt the stock pan to the 350z seat(2 holes lined up).

I will have full installed pics tomorrow and no wrinkle pics in prob a week or so.

Most of the wrinkles are done and I got the seats in.

All I can say is WOW. It feels like driving a new car. You guys DO NOT understand how much this changes the driving experience of the car. I love it!

I will have more pics today and next week once I detail the interior.

350z seat install mini how to

I had 06 non power, non airbag seats
My stock seats are both power

This might be different for non power seats.

For the pass side:

The z seat pan bolts to the max seat pan here:

I used 3" bolts M8x1.25 iirc.

To attach the back part of the seat cushion you will either have to hog clip it or zip tie to to the max seat pan like so. You might not have enough fabric to do this, i'm not sure. I have custom leather seats.

For the drivers side, none of the holes matched the pan; so you will have to attach the fabric around the max seat pan.

For the seat back, only one of the holes will work. I used the front hole which makes the seat back further back, I like it like this; you might want it forward, up to you.

The other hole is about 3" above that one and you will have to drill into the Z seat and use a nut/bolt to hold it in place.

So, it has been over 2 years since I have done this. The Duplicolor vinyl spray is holding up wonderfully. I need to touch up a few spots on the door panels where I didn't get a full 2-3 coats on. Other than that it looks wonderful.

So if anyone plans to use this then they should expect it to hold up assuming they prep the surfaces well.
