Rear suspension issue...

I just put on my g35 wheels the other day. After doing all 4, I noticed something weird about the rear passenger side. While the wheel was mounted, i was able to wobble it. I ignored it since it was raining and I kind of forgot about it.
Today, I noticed that my handling feels a little sloppy. It feels like my rear end wants to kick out. This is noticeable at high speeds. I was going 70, and I was changing lanes and it felt weird. After turning the steering wheel to the left to change lanes, I would have to turn it to the right even more to straighten the car out. When I parked my car, I pushed the wheel and the wobble is very noticeable. When I push and try to wobble any of the other wheels, they stay put, but on the rear passenger side, something doesn't seem right. A guy at my job said it could be a wheel bearing--but I take his advice with a grain of salt because he has a riced out zx2 that I smoked one night.
Please help me figure out what needs to be replaced--thanks guys.

So it wobbles with the wheel fully torqued down?

Yes, wheel bearing's shot. Have to replace the hub.

Easy install, IIRC it's somewhere around $100 for the part.

If it's got a noticeable wobble even with the car on the ground, I wouldn't.

One easy thing to check though, take off the wheel and the dust cap and make sure the wheel bearing nut is still tight, should be 137-188 ft/lbs.

It shouldn't be backed off any appreciable amount, since there should be a cotter pin there.

i dented around the dust cap with a hammer because i couldn't fit the center cap on my new g35 wheels. a couple other members had done this, which is why i did it. could that be the reason for my problem? and how do i remove the dust cap? do i pry it off with a flat screwdriver?

Yep, just pry it off with a screwdriver, or channel locks, or whatever.

No, clearancing it in wouldn't cause this.

Do you hear a whir or a whoo-whoo noise from that corner when driving the car?

hey pmohr, thanks for all of your help so far. with your help, i was able to diagnose the problem and also buy the right part!
i called up my nissan dealer and its cheaper to buy it from courtesy. i need it before this friday so i'll just get it from courtesy. when i was speaking to the parts guy, he said i also HAVE to get a new dust cap assembly. is this true? it wouldn't be a killer since its about 8 bucks on courtesy. would you mind getting me the link for that? i would hate to buy the wrong one.

The FSM says you should as well, I imagine just due to the damage you'll likely to do it while removing it.

43234-31U00, $7.27 each at Courtesy

Dave B will probably be cheaper and quicker to ship, FWIW.

That number is for the A33 and the B15, as well as 02/97+ for the A32. You said yours was 11/96 build date, right?

They're probably near identical, but who knows.
