i have an idea that just came to mind after reading this thread, how about for the last month of the calander (some calanders end in dec, and others end in jan of the following year) it can be a collage (spell check) of every ones pic that were summited (including the 11/12 cars that were picked) for the calander. this could include full car shots, engine shots, clean interior shots, wheels and even shots of peoples maxima.org stickers just to change it up or do something a little different and show everyones enthusizum in 4th gens...

That is a good idea, however, the provider I use to make the calendars doesn't operate that way. But how about a compromise? That can be the cover.

Oh and Tigersharkdude, B&W would be fine. I'm not against that at all.

Pics have been sent. Let me know if they wont work and maybe I can take some more before the deadline. My car is down at the moment, but my new blower should be in by the weekend and I should be able to have it back in the car by the end of the weekend.

Well not really dead per say.
Although it was performing ok and I hadnt had any issues with it I decided to remove it and send it in for a rebuild, I figured it was due for one.
Vortech got back with me and told me that the wear on it was too great for a minor rebuild. I was informed that even though it was performing ok, it was bound for failure. Cost of doing a complete rebuild on the blower was more then a new one, so I traded in my old blower for a new one.
They gave me 1k for my old blower to put towards the purchase of a new one. New unit is a definate upgrade to the V1 blower I was running.

Yes, the newer blower will produce 150 more CFMs and will have a max speed of 2k rpms faster. It also performs more effeciently and will produce more boost with less strain on the blower.

bezerk, what do you think about putting kevin007 in the calender. I know he had a 6th gen but it would be a tribute per say

Ask everyone else! What do you guys think? Should we allow other generation maximas?

it would certainly get more submissions to me. I'm up for a good Maxima car calendar. Thats what I did the first year, but I hardly got a response from the 3rd, 5th, and 6th gen guys. We would have to have a good mixture of cars. One 6th gen and the rest 4th isn't a good balance.

4th gen only please. If other generations are added, I'm afraid you'll lose me (and others) from purchasing.

No 'clean' stock Maximas either please. 'Clean' stock Maximas are everywhere, tastefully modded ones aren't.

EDIT: and no black and white either please. For such a pricey calendar, all pics should be rich and full of color IMO.

Sounds good to me, as long as all the cars featured are modded. Staring at a stock car vehicle for a month at a time is lame, I see that just driving back and forth to work.

I'm against the idea of having other gens. I think a 4th gen calendar will be pretty special, considering the older the maxima the less and less media you'll find for it.

Now if worse comes to worse and you don't have enough entries, then I wouldn't mind.

and what Bezerk said was
One 6th gen and the rest 4th isn't a good balance.
But having a tribute page is a good idea, so maybe make the back cover his tribute piece.

I found another company that will let us do it so there will be a back cover with a tribute to him. Everyone would have to pre order their calendar through PayPal. Doing it this way will significantly reduce the cost of the calendar, but put more of a strain on me as I would have to mail them all! Not a problem though. Some more information on this will come later.

Thats awesome man, glad you decided to go with the idea. Also, I have no problem preordering and Im sure others wont as well. Super cool of you to take on the duties of shipping these things out, hopefully everyone is just as thoughtfull and understands and is patient.
Oh, PMed ya back about that other thing....

title says 4th gen 2010 calander, and plus i honestly think that the deadline is to close to change it up at the last minute. maybe next year we can mix in different generations in the calander...

Kevin was a member who owned a 6th gen who just recently passed away from cancer. He was very involved with making his 6th gen faster and faster and offered lots of support and info to members on this site and as well as others. He was well liked by many. I personally didnt know him, but he had a lot to offer to the org and will be missed.

That is true, but at the moment we dont even have enough 4th gen submissions for the calendar unless we allow last year submissions again which is kind of a repeat of last years calendar.
Its not final yet that its going to be a multi generation calendar, but its not a bad idea. It adds variety to the calendar and gives you a bit more to look at then 4th gens every month of the year. There are lots of modded Maximas on here that would be excellent canidates for a muliti yeared maxima calendar.

Made a change to the information on the first post. The calendar size that we used last year (17X22) was nice, however it was rather expensive. The company I was using raised the price of this calendar by 3 dollars making it closer to 30 bucks to order, which is insane. So this year we are going to go back to a more standard 11x8.5 size calendar, 11X17 when open. It was the size of the original one 2 years ago. The price is going to be a lot better as well.

Just MHO
A.) Not everyone brought last years calendar
B.) I'm not interested in seeing other gen maximas, that would be nice, but not something I'd be in a hurry to buy. Like I stated earlier, the media for the older gens like the 4th, 3rd and so on is so sparse that a calendar full of 4th gens would make my day (literally, and figuratively).

I know I'm just one person, but maybe there are a few others who feel the same way I do.

I kinda agree ^^.

I'm personally not a fan of 6th gens. I think they were the ugliest Maxima ever designed. Only 2 or 3 that I have seen actually look good. Both of them are on NYCMaximas.org.

Just sayin.
