Broke my key

I have 99 and my key broke. I know they have that chip in them, so does anyone know how much it will be to replace my key?

Call up your dealer and ask. They may not charge the same amount for either the key or the programming as any other dealer.

Likely the only correct amount you'll get is the one that specific dealer tells you.

Do you not have a backup key?

I don't know about maxima keys, but the key on my i30 looks like it has something that can be removed from the plastic portion next to the key blade. If I were to break a key, I would gut that and see if I can't transplant it to the new key... but only if I have a extra key b/c the stealership will probably want it if you want them to reprogram it.

Go to a locksmith, garantee it will be cheaper. I got my metal infiniti key (so it wont break again, plus looks good) and the programming for 45 bucks

get a tiny flat head screw driver, pry out the chip. get a new key from somwhere ebay or dealer or something. then slide in new chip. or take the chip and take the colum a part and tape the chip to the reciever next to the ign cylinder and just get a regular key made.
