+1 on the swaybar bushing. Get polyeurethane.

Do you plan on installing the LCA yourself? If so, just get balljoints and press them in, takes an extra 5 minutes and is about a 100 bucks cheaper/side. Then take that money you saved and get new endlinks too. Get moog balljoints/endlinks, throw the receipts in the glovebox and they are warrantied for the life of the car.

I highly recommend inner tie rods.

like the guy above definitely the inner tie rods. And probably the boots to go with them. Changed the outers on my friends and when we took them out we noticed a lot of play in the inner tie rods. You need a special tool which you can rent at autozone. And I would say just buy a new whole control arm since it has all new bushings to go with it.

I just did most of my front end recently and my god what a pain in the ***. A torch is your best friend...You can get suspension kits on ebay with all the parts included but it's iffy on the quality but i took my chances with them since it saved me about 200 dollars. I've put 4000 miles on them and they're still working fine. Good luck it really makes your ride a lot smoother and hitting bumps a lot less noisy.

MOOG Part #EV352 2 inner Tie Rod Ends

I'm in the process of doing this to my wife's car, she has an SE though. I already have Gr2's and want to replace all the parts that go with the strut, but re-use the stock springs. I looked up all the different nissan parts and they were expensive (no surprise) more than the struts themselves! Does MOOG make replacements for all those? Boots, insulators, etc....?

^^^Where can I find this sale? The Monroe struts are good for the SE also? Didn't the SE come with stiffer springs?

Go to rockauto.com, get all 4, use code 16981971444743 (like $30 off) then print the rebate form at monroe.com for $125 rebate. So basically $155 off. Not bad. Or you can buy the monroe shocks and struts and reuse the SE springs. If your going to do that I'd recommend KYB GR2, only $262.32 with free shipping at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=400047850459

I was sort of in the same situation, except I bought my 97 in 99, and I drove it to 160k. I replaced everything myself, except the LCA's I had someone burn out and press in ES replacements.
I would go everything ES you can, and maybe get AGX's, sometimes you can find them at the same price as Monroe, and they have a lifetime warranty. Since I had everything apart already, I decided to go a littel lower and installed Progress springs and so far I have no complaints, on my stock rims I sometimes scrape exiting driveways and such.

Depends on what you want to do, if you're making that effort, you might as well upgrade while you can, the car's value isn't going to be hurt by it and it's relatively cheap.

well the car is riding much better now. and has the classic WOW look at the wheel well gap. running stock 15" wheels. turns out I had been driving a lowered Max unintentionally.
Now I may need to look into replacing the factory exhaust system in the next couple of years.
see,.

so have monroe struts gotten that much better over the past 2 years? When I used to visit here frequently 2 years ago or so, they were looked down on.

Here is a good link:

http://www.power-21.com/federalmogulpower21i/

It is the link to all of Federal Moguls different company catalogs. This includes Moog. Just select steering or suspension and it will bring up pulldowns for you year, make, and model.

You can find all the applicable Moog part numbers for components.

You can also look up bearings and axles and such. This will give you part numbers for bearing and hubs made by National Bearing (another Federal Mogul Division) which is pretty good stuff.
