Fog Retro (almost done!!!)

I wanted to know everyone's opinions before i put put the clear acrylic lense on the front. 1) all black fogs or 2)fogs with chrome bezel ? I honestly can't make up my mind.

1) All Black Fogs

2) Chrome Bezel Fogs

50/50. I think the black matches the clear lights better, the bezel would match if they werent.
No vote.

What kinda projectors are those (fog)? You planning on doing a write up? Did you have to cut the lenses off or did you manage to pry them?

chrome - you want the blazer shrouds to match the FX shrouds.

How did you make the clears, BTW? Just made a mold and heated plexiglass over it?

I think stock fogs are the best...but if i had to choose from the two, i would go with fully blacked out. GL

I would say the chrome ones. But, I am also a fan of stock for the most part. To be honest, with headlights as good as ours, who even uses fog lights?

Chrome bezels make the fogs match the headlights since those projectors already have bezels too.

I think that he made custom clear covers for them (no fluted glass) and retrofitted blazer 880 fog projectors in. I don't know why he's putting so much effort into his foglights when he doesn't even have quad projectors in the headlights yet just kidding buddy

i think the all blacks look stealthy. the chrome does match the h/l projectors but the hidden fogs is def a pretty cool look. only works with the black cars tho =(

chrome bezel, brings out the front a lot more. Also matches a lot better with the headlights.

Yep

Here's ALL the pics so far. lol

If you're wondering how i attatched the D2S; I used a pcv pipe that was a mm too small. I eventually was able to slide the pcv pipe over the blazer bulb tunel. Then i used gorilla tape over the pcv and the edge of the D2S bulb.

The hinge was getting in the way... so i had to cut it in half.

I had a friend of mine do it for me. I believe its some type of acrylic. It was made with by taking a mold of the original and pressing the acrylic while warm. I just hope it doesn't get hit by a rock ever b/c it is really rigid ...

First of all, your car looks GREAT!

And I think blacked out with chrome bezel looks great. It brings your whole front end together by matching the fogs with headlights

I chose with the bezel. Without it looks like a half *** job. With the bezel makes it look like they were made to be there factory setup. Very nice work. I was planning on doing the same to my 95 foglight housings. I started last year but marriage and a house caused me to slow down. Congrats on the retro. Looks really good.

Ahh, clear lenses! The setup just gets better and better. That's what I needed for my retro'd fogs on my old '95...the fresnel lines KILLED the output

To anyone wanting clear lenses, contact kzoosho. He doesn't make them, but he and I had talked about a company local to him that was willing to do custom stuff like this for a fee.

Know that this thread is old, but considering the heat, how have your lenses held up? Considering this mod since the lenses suck on our fogs.
