LED Gen 2 Altezza's Skylined!

Just finished these up the other day and thought I'd post pics for another led tail light alternative..

Quick how to:
Bake open @200 for about 10 mins.
Place Ice tea lid inside the lens
Paint with krylon Fusion or whatever
Bake back together
Wipe off any excess adhesive with WD40 on a microfiber

those look tight, i did sorta the same thing. I have the same taillights, but i made the mistake and painted the whole light, i got some of the paint off though so you can see the red reflectors since i kept gettin harrassed by the cops

You mean paint the centers black so all you can see is the red ring?

I like it too. Those are nice. I wonder what they would look like if the center things were black as well

thats how mines were, but cops will harrass you since the red reflectors has to visible, but the LEDS wil shine thru if you use transparent paint

There's no red reflectors in the centers. We're talking about painting the chrome reflector black. The red reflector wil still show since it'll be untouched.

Your right! It would look sweet..

Actually, I was planning to retro a set of these into the outside centers and something similar on the insides for backup lights but I just got lazy and wanted to get them done. These are a bish to open up without cracking the cheap plastic..

Thanks for the compliments.

When you opened them, which part did you paint? The transparent plastic cover or the chrome/CF part around the circles.
Tnx
