anyone put an hid kit in blazer projector fog lights?

just put my blazer projector fog lights on and love the cutoff and beam but the bulbs that came with them are pretty weak. i'd like to see if anyone is using an hid kit with theirs - i'm affraid the shrouds might melt (plastic) - and maybe some output pics?

I have 880 HID's in mine and a few guys over @ hidplanet have HID's in Blazers as well.. The shrouds will be fine unless you go with a 50 watt setup then you could cook the chrome in the bowl and possibly melt the shroud..

880 will fit with a little dremeling of the bulb holder..
D2S will fit but the base has to be cut down for the proper spacing.

blazer output with 6000k 35w hid (I have a few other blazer pics in my gallery click sig link)

sure beats the crappy oem fog they're cheap too - i paid about $42 shipped from ebay. i think there was a group buy on those here for the same price (?).

here's the link to the seller i got them from - fast shipper - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3AMEBDIX%3AIT

btw i wired mine to the bumper markers (don't have the fog light stalk) and upgraded the fuse from 7.5A to 15A.

Man I wish retrofitting our fog lights was easier, I'd so do these.

We're not retrofitting our fogs. We're taking the stock fogs out and replacing em with cheap blazer projectors with hid's.
Cost is right around $100 for everything and output pwns stock fogs 10x.. FTMFW!

DO IT!!
