Installing a 7200 RPM raised rev limiter on a 95

As I'm sure you guys know by now, I maintain my car well and take very good care of it. That being said, is it really hard on a car to raise the rev-limiter to 7200 rpm? I currently have a Technosquare ECU and I'm thinking of switching to a JTW/7200. If I understand correctly, the JWT is basically the same as the TS except it has the 7200, right? Same fuel mapping and all that? My car has 162k on it, and is rarely driven hard, but I don't wanna add a lot of stress to it by upgrading the ECU. What do you think?

not all jwt ECUs have 7200 rpm limiters just a few, most have 7000rpm limiters, not that it makes much difference. is it more stress, of course. will it hurt your car? highly unlikely. if you don't have an MEVI or 00vi though it's completely useless to have a raised rev limiter.

your sig needs to shrink in a big way dude. it's huge.

As a courtesy to others, please avoid extra wide signatures. They are annoying to others. When your sig is so wide that it makes other users scroll to read the whole thread it is annoying and time-consuming. A good guide is 550 pixels wide at the widest. Also, please avoid extremely long signatures as well. 325 pixels will be considered the limit of signature height.

And how does that change it violating forum guidelines?

BTW, you are aware that Nealoc is a mod, correct?

no problem, but shrink the sig or i'll do it for you. it goes 3/4 of the way across my 22" widescreen and halfway down.

I have a JWT '96 5spd manual fed spec rpm 7600 limiter and have had it for many years. Max is still going (very) strongly with my MEVI + JWT.

I'm thinking of getting a new car in the next year or two so am starting the de-modding process.

It's WELL worth it. I drove with a MEVI alone for years, thought it was so smooth and refined compared to the US version, then got the JWT and seriously it flew. Plus the intangibles are phenomenal. Throttle response, etc. Oddly enough, my fuel economy also improved. Not sure how to explain that. Maybe optomization?

PM me if you are interested.

I rev to 7500 everyday when i go to work. I have stock internals and stock oil pump and i have had no problems. And my car has 188k on it. Am i making power at 7500? im not to sure and i would almost bet im not. But it does help if you want to save a shift. I wouldnt personally recomend going to 7500. But then again i have a 3.5 waiting for me so its not to big of a deal if i throw a rod or blow my engine

It has been said that TS has a more aggresive tune. I went with JWT for the 7200 rev limiter

Ive reved to 7700-7800 but i think my injectors maxed out and it pretty much feels like hitting limiter. Hitting 7500 every day on a stock bottom end makes you a little more confident in the VQ

Did you raise the rev limiter with the EU?
My EU and harness cost me a bit over 500.00
My WB cost another 250
