When the motor is cold the light does not come on, but when its completely warmed up the oil pressure light flickers when I come to a complete stop. This does not happen all the time but I would say 90% of the time. Does this for sure mean that the car needs an oil pump?? I REALLY dont want to do that big job

 

First thing would be to replace the sensor since they are known for being faulty

It is a 10 dolla sensor and is very easy to replace

 

I did that and the light did'nt come on for about 2 days....

 

Well shall we assume that you've already checked the oil level?

Have you checked the connector and harness for any damage? Does the light come on if you move that harness around at all?
