Detonation at WOT

Ok, Stock 96 SE.

Colorado altitude, premium fuel (91)

The last few days have been pretty warm -- 85-90 degrees. So naturally I have the A/C cranked. Full throttle between 3k rpm, and 3.5k rpm it 'pings' the all familiar sound of detonation.

Now, I don't know where to go from here... It's just fine when it starts to cool back down to 70 or so outside.

Knock sensor is brand new (5k miles)

Any feedback/ ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

your FPR may be dirty, varnish or the injectors may be static. When I had 1/2 tank
of gas I added a cup of toluene to tank and ran til 1/8. Them refueled as usual. The
performamce returned. I was happy.

Try a differnet brand of fuel. Make sure your air filter is clean and your plugs are in good shape.
