new battery 5 months ago,
I’m having an intermittent problem with my car starting.
1/2 the time it starts normally, except for a few extra cranks from the the starter. The car will run good for the entire time after it started.
When the car does’nt start the starter cranks and cranks but the engine never catches.
If intermittelny the engine does catch and start to run,
it immediately stalls right out.

Did you do anything prior to this condition? Did anything happen to the car?

 

No codes,
Only recent problem was low fluid in clutch master cylinder
I had a mechanic look at the no start problem but
Mechanic could not duplicate the problem
Mechanic said cam sensor was good
I am looking where to start
Since I cannot get it to fail on demand
When it does fail to start, if I let the car sit for a day it will start.
When it fails to start I held the gas pedal down while cranking and still would not start
What can I check first?

 

possibly the fuel pump on its way out?
