clearance lights and turn signal lights

well, i just finished making my clearance lights brighter.. and it shure does look better. but, it also gets really hot.. i read some earlier posts about this, but none recent. has anyone had any problems with this yet? also, when i cut the knub off i think i cut it too much cause it was way too loose, and i figured it would flicker when i hit a bump..(anyone have this happen?) so i found some bulbs in my garage that i had that fit..so i ddint cut as much this time and they fit better. theyre krypton bulbs, supposed to last 2x longer and, they are also brighter. i also replaced the turn signal light on the one that doesnt flash (see attachment) to the stock clear bulb and that looks alot better, (this shouldnt be illegal.??) but it needs to be brighter.. is there a clear bulb at walmart or autozone etc. that will brighten it up a little??

thanks

Dont worry about the heat. It should handle it pretty well. If you read the inside of the Clearance lights housing, it says 12V/27W/8W and 1157 below. They are designed to handle 27W heat!

The better bulbs for your sidemarker lights should be PIAA hyperwhites or PolarG clear.
Good Luck! You did better than me. I cracked my clearance light (driver's side) while removing it from the darn ball-nut joint!

OH! and don't worry about flickering. It should not happen. Just to be on the safe side, you an electrical tape and secure the bulb to the socket nice and tight. That should work
