JWT ECU 96 in a 97 car - 0707 CEL

I read awhile back about a fix for fitting a 96 ECU that has been modded by JWT in a 97/98 car. It was something about having to use a different o2 sensor and rewiring/changing pins on the ecu.

Anybody know how to get rid of the 0707 code? I had no issues at all with the 97 ECU.

Have you look at the FSMs for the code for both years? It's pretty self explanatory as to what you need to do...

'96 is a ceramic titania sensor, '97 is a ceramic zirconia. The output voltages are different.

The two sensors have different connectors, you would need to swap out to a 3 wire or make a little adapter harness. The heater power feed is also two pins off on '96 vs '97.

Also, did you even search? I found a few relevant threads on the subject.

Hell, if you search the instructions are right here: http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...0136-long.html

Searching leads to answers.

My fault.....I read through this entire thread and didnt even think to cross reference p0136 as being the same as 0707

How the heck do you get the wire pulled out of the ecu without breaking it? Im afraid that Im going to rip it or damage it when i swap the location from 107 to 105.

Also, does anyone have a spare harness laying around that they want to pull a wire out so I can ground 112?

You just need a small pin or something to depress the locking tab.

Actually, you can pretty much just yank them out of the connector without damaging anything (after you've raised the white piece, of course).
