just a quick question on lower ball joint removal
going to take my control arms off and install some energy suspension black control arm bushing, the old stock ones are really worn out. while its out, i was thinking of replacing the lower ball joints too. ive searched here and i know it can be done. but alot of people take it to a machine shop and have them pressed. but if i dont do that, i just wanna confirm about using this tool down here. can rent it at autozone to press the olds ones out and the new ones in.

For getting it out, I personally used a torch and hammer. Luckily my bro and I had just purchased a press so that's what we used to press it in (Use lube for smooth entry). But I'm sure you can come up with a ghetto press concotion.
IE. before the press I had to get my ES motor mount Bushings into the motor mounts, I jacked up a car and used its weight coming down on a wooden block as a press (^_^).
I'm sure you could use a hammer to put it back in too, but I wouldn't wanna risk damaging it.

I did the EXACT same thing for my ES motor mounts hahaha
I have also used Crank pulley removers to press out ball joints...that sometime works...just an idea...
