Factory Alarm Beep

i tried out this how to this weekend: http://www.vqpower.com/v2/articles.php?article_id=49

i double and triple checked all my wiring and it matches the website... and i know a little about relays and it all makes since to me. well when i press my lock button the buzzer sounds as it should but then my blinkers stay on constant, front and back... they only turn off when i pull power away from the coil on the new relay.

anybody have this problem or know what the issue could be? HELP!

You wired the relay wrong. And being a 12v set up you dont even need the relay. Ive had 6 Maximas and an I30, done this on several of my friends Maxima's, hooked the buzzer directly to the factory wiring...no problems.

how/where did you hook it up into the factory wiring? wont that cause it to beep when the blinkers are on?

I don't think the schematic for the relay is drawn correctly. The internal coil in the factory relay (multi remote control relay) has one side connected to a constant 12 volts (labeled to fuse box) and the other side to the body control module which connects it to ground.

The added relay SHOULD be done the same way but the drawing has it differently. If you change the connection on the top of the added relay to go to 12 volts instead of ground, it will work for you.
