i can either get a brand new 09 3.5 engine and trans. for 3000. i only get the block, crank and pistons, and have to use the rest of the parts off my engine. but i believe the guy takes out the stock gears in the trans and he puts his own (hes has a machine shop). or theres a 06 with i believe 38000 mi on it. i get the engine and trans with that too for 3000.

so which one should i spend the 3000 on?


and off topic, i have a 96. can i true duel it? and whats the biggest exhaust i can go if i do that? would it be better just to stick to the single pipe and doing a 2.5in exhaust?

$3k is a ripoff for an '06 engine/trans, IMO. VQ35s are quite easy to find for under a grand, and you can get a brand new 6MT from Nissan for ~$2k.

You could put true dual exhaust on anything. You could go with the largest exhaust you wanted.

 

Well first off what kind of swap do you plan on doing??? Hybrid or 3.5+ECU??

You can only go so far with a block+internals unless you plan to build there will be some modificatons to get your ''3.0'' parts to work with the ''3.5''.
