Time for a new "N00bie" question thread...

The old one has gone on long enough, and will be locked in the next week or so.

Any suggestions for the newest version?

Yes that is the idea i was going for but i think you would need to have them in a seprate category for the fact that you wouldnt want to mix things up like that though the generations.

IMHO i think it would help with these nonsense posts and thread subjects(least in the 4th gen section)

If you want to remove some of the clutter from the useless posts, you might as well make a forum called "Noobs" under the Maxima Discussions and create a subforum for each generation within.

Also, what if... there was a forum under the Maxima Discussions that was called How To's. Then, in there, you would have subforums for each generation. Then you could basically move the HowTos into there.

So, you click on How Tos. Click on 4th Gen. Then inside there could be a single post per topic like Interior, Exterior, Suspension, etc.

Yes, having some sort of general noob section.

Like this:

FAQ/How To's/Noob Forum

7th Gen Subforum
-Interior thread
-Exterior thread
-Susp. thread
...

6th Gen Subforum
-Interior thread
-Exterior thread

So on and so forth.

You've been here for almost a year.. You serial?

if you want more detail then... http://tatanko.boredmder.com/

[Edit]
Now that I think about it, why isn't there a big 00VI sticky in the 4th gen section? Most n00bs wouldn't know to goto the all motor section...

Instead of having a separate N00bie section, we could just create a link that sends PMs directly to Pmohr's inbox.

This was not intended to be the noobie question thread. It was a feedback thread.

Whats wrong with the current format?(aside from the length of that thread) It works fine for me and probably most people who understand the search function. I don't think much is going to stop the people that come in ask common questions without searching or looking through the first page or 2 of threads.

Quite possibly, nothing is wrong. I was just soliciting opinions before I close the old one and start a new one.
